工房概要
埼玉県所沢市の狭山湖のすぐ近く、四季折々の表情を楽しませてくれる里山にて職住一体の暮らしをしながら広葉樹無垢材を中心に、オーダー・オリジナル作品を制作。
金具を使わない昔ながらの工法、手鉋仕上げに思い入れ、生涯をともにできる家具や木製食器をデザインから提案しています。
ものづくりにおける約束とシステム
- 国産の木材を使い、国内生産、手仕事であることを大切にしています。
- 素材（木材）の産地、樹齢を明らかにします。
- 作品をお届けした後も、末長く責任を持ってメンテナンスや補修対応を行います。
- 作品ひとつひとつに対して、材料費はもちろん一定基準に則った固定費、人件費、利益を計上して積算作業を行います。
これを１年間積み上げた価値の交換が、私たちの継続的な活動につながります。
そのため必要以上に対価を頂くことも無ければ、値下げ販売を行うこともありません。 - またお客様からの求めがあれば、上記基準を公開することも可能です。
- 適正な予算算出の仕組みは、継続的な制作活動のために必要な私たちの骨格であり、形のない作品として次世代に継承してゆきます。
- ものをつくること、数字をつくること、日々の暮らしをつくることと、その価値の交換における原理原則は同一と捉え、大切にします。

We take pride in our traditional techniques of not using any metal fittings and wood planing by hand to design furniture which lasts a lifetime.
In addition to the manufacturing of furniture, we also take a part in many activities including the manufacturing of kid’s furniture, playground equipment, and decorations from an education point of view as well as providing support for a comfortable living through workshops.

むすひ
作家がおもてなしする家は、暮らしを考える器。
食と住に対しての美意識と価値を、
そっと公開・共有する場所として里山にあります。
苔と石段のお庭をのぼり、
格子戸をくぐって中に入ると吹き抜けとキッチンが出迎える。
ここでは主人が訪れる客人のために、料理やお酒を振舞うこともしばしば。
打合せやワークスペースの機能を持つ工房の運営拠点でありながら、
オリジナルの椅子やテーブル、
器や照明などの試作品を実際に使う暮らしの場として、
経年変化を観察しています。
“Cutting-edge and fundamental space”
The creator’s house is a vessel for thinking about lifestyles.
It stands quietly in the countryside for sharing the aesthetics and values for food and living.
Climb up the moss-covered stone step through the gardens and pass under the latticed doors where you are welcomed by the open ceiling space and a kitchen.
This is where he sometimes serves his guests with food and drinks.
Although this is a business quarter for a factory with meeting and work space, we observe its changes as a place for using samples of original chairs and tables, tableware and lighting.
母屋
骨太な木造の制作アトリエでは、無垢材の作品や木製カトラリーを制作。
今日も鳥たちの鳴き声とともに加工の音が里山に響きます。
暮らしに根ざしたものづくりを実践するため、田中英一の自宅兼工房として2010年に竣工、稼働開始。
４ｍの天井高のある１階のアトリエにはたくさんの木工機械が並び、天井にはオープンアトリエの企画の鯉の天井画も。
１階と２階の自宅はゆるやかに繋がり、また周辺の葡萄園と、梅林と、狭山湖の森とも繋がります。
ウグイスとホトトギスと虫の声をBGMに、季節を感じながら制作活動の毎日です。
We manufacture wooden cutlery and works from solid wood in our strongly-built wooden workshop.
The sounds from our workshop echo throughout the countryside scenery as always, along with the chirping of the birds.
It was completed and put to use in 2010 as Eiichi Tanaka’s house and a workshop for his creation based on people’s living.
Many wood processors line up in the atelier on the first floor with a four-meter ceiling. The ceiling is painted with a carp from the open atelier project.
The first floors and his home on the second floor have established a gentle connection. That gentle connection continues on to the surrounding vineyard, plum forest, and Sayama Lake forest.
He creates listening to the sounds of the Japanese bush warblers, lesser cuckoos, and insects.
