つみきいす

手のひらサイズのつみきと、からだサイズのつみきで構成された「つみきいす」。保育園の室内園庭用に開発した家具であり遊具です。

繋げれば舞台に、広げれば椅子や机に、傾ければ木馬に。
積む、乗る、揺らす、歩く、転がす、寝る、座る…。

組み合わせることで様々な幾何学模様をデザインすることもできます。

材料には軽くて柔らかく防虫効果や湿度に強い桐材を使用。
材を積層し1体にすることで強度も高めました。

作家・田中英一の家庭でこどもたちにとことん遊ばせることで改良を重ね完成したつみきいす。

近年、増え続けるビル・インの保育施設で遊びを限定せず、子供の発想を無限大に引き出すことを可能にする遊具です。

“Tsumiki-isu (building-block chair)” composed of a palm-sized tsumiki (building-block) and a body-sized tsumiki. It is a furniture and play equipment developed for indoor garden of nursery schools.

It becomes a stage when you connect it, a chair or a desk when you spread it, a wooden horse when you incline it. You can stack, ride, shake, walk, roll, sleep, sit, or the like with it.

You can also design various geometric patterns by combining them.

Paulownia wood which is lightweight, soft, and effective for insect repelling and humidity is used. Material strength has also been enhanced by stacking the wood to make it into a single body.

It is a Tsumiki-isu that has been completed by repeating improvements while making children play thoroughly in the household of a writer, Eiichi Tanaka.

In recent years, it is play equipment capable of drawing children’s ideas to infinity without limiting their plays at the increasing number of built-in child-care facilities.
