What we do is prepare
We prepare rather than process the wood.
Imagine a restaurant.
Fresh, unique and aromatic ingredients...
They are all bought fresh at the market by the chef.
The chef might even use ingredients that the customers brought themselves.
He cooks for how the customers feel on that day.
Eiichi Tanaka prepares his furniture the same way.
Who is it for? How will they use it?
He prepares to their preferences, chemistry, and future plans.
Carefully, upon many discussions.
Leave it to the chef to determine the cooking time and the amount of seasonings.
Another important thing to remember is that the it is not about the furniture.
The star of the restaurant is the people sitting at the table rather than the food.
A family sitting around the table talking.
A couple talking about what happened in their day.
Friends chatting away.
A customer sitting alone, enjoying the time on their own.
We prepare our wood with the philosophy that the stars are the people who gather around our furniture.
